Preparations
(Day 369 on Tashoo)
(Afternoon)
As the three of us walked back to Ara’s house, Naka asked me, “I cannot believe you succeeded in getting the Ka'yno to challenge you. That was your plan from the moment you walked into the Ishoo'se Choko Aka'ny, was it not?”
I smiled and said, “My Ka', whatever do you mean?”
Naka took a deep breath before he continued, “What are you going to do tomorrow, Mvilu?”
Thanking the Great Being for the change of subject, “What do you mean, Ka’ Naka? I have the Trial by Combat with the Ka’yno. I have to prepare for t

On Trial, Again
(Day 369 on Tashoo)
(Morning)
Sleep is the wonderful rejuvenator. Dreams are both fantasy and reality. I prefer the reality types of dreams, most of the time. In the fantasy aspect of my dreams, though, I am with Tyarza, which makes me want to forget the reality dreams.
Tonight, Tyarza and I are sitting in a boat on a lake and I am rowing the boat. Tyarza's normal fear of being on the water isn't exhibited in this dream. Her blue-blond hair is significantly shorter than it normally is and is cut in an ancient style known as the pixie cut. Her yellow in blue eyes and lion-yellow skin are as alluring to m

New Trainee
(Day 368 on Tashoo)
(Afternoon)
I entered Ara’s home and went to my room. When I walked into my room, Chy bounded up to me and made his normal demands for attention. Even after more than 100 days as my “pet”, Chy still surprised me with how much like a Terran house cat he acted. He continually rubbed his head against me, lay on me and was just a general nuisance in his demands for my affection. Of course, I never refused to give him all the affection he wanted; after all, I had rescued him and I really did want the kind of attention he would give me.
After petting Chy, I got my bow, arrows, q

Faux Pas
(Day 367 on Tashoo)
(Morning)
Sleep is a wonderful refresher. Everyone needs it, eventually. Dreams are also necessary to assist in the refreshing nature of sleep. Dreams are wonderful when they are not frightening.
Needless to say, I am dreaming. It's a wonderful dream. I'm in a grassy field near a large calm lake sitting on a red and white checkered cloth with a picnic basket in the middle. A meal is set out on the cloth. I'm not alone, naturally; in my company is the beautiful female companion that I usually have in these dreams, that being Tyarza. Her long blue-blond hair which reaches down to the midd

Visiting TaJoola
(Day 277 on Tashoo)
Since the day I arrived in Talo-Vy and met Nachoo, I had always been bothered by certain things about him. Revenge and unscrupulousness were just two things that bothered me about him. He impressed me as being the kind of “person” that would make just such an offer to Ara just to fulfill a threat made twenty-five years earlier.
After thinking for about these things, I changed the subject. “I wonder. . .”
Naka jostled himself at the unexpectedness of my statement. He asked, “What do you wonder about?”
“I wonder if TaTara told Ara who

Ka’ Mu-Naka’s Story
(Day 277 on Tashoo)
A dream. A wonderful, colorful dream. Tyarza is back, the beautiful woman with blue-blond hair and yellow in blue eyes. She is smiling and laughing. Her brown lips stretched open revealing pearly white perfectly straight teeth. Her two piece leather dress, which is held together by two leather strings and accentuates, instead of hiding, all of her womanly charms, blends in nicely with her lion yellow skin. She is also wearing sandals reminiscent of ancient Greek sandals.
I am wearing low cut athletic style shoes, blue jeans and a gray t-shirt with ITN in navy blue on

Playing Tricks on the Spies
(Day 234 on Tashoo)
Tyarza and I worked steadily until lunch, during this whole time the warrior never moved from where he was standing and continually stared at us. I was tempted more than once to look at him, smile and wave. At lunch time, Kyta arrived with a meal cooked by Joola. I guess Joola was starting to feel better. During lunch time, business dried up at Joola’s booth, and at every other booth in the market for that matter. Prior to today, I had never noticed how nothing at all seemed to be accomplished during lunch time.
Since business was non-existent, we had time to sit an
